On October 1 and 2, 2025, an unprecedented cultural event took place at Skatepark Utrecht: Roll over Puccini, where classical music met skateboarding culture. Puccini's Messa di Gloria echoed through the park as skaters carved lines and opera voices soared—two worlds that rarely intersect, united in one extraordinary performance.
Director Femke Lucia Lindemans van Halewijn emphasized the importance of bringing different communities together: "There's always something you recognize in each other." Tenor Eric Reddet called it "a beautiful meeting between two worlds."
The event challenged stereotypes about both skaters and classical musicians, proving we're all searching for the same things: challenge, pride, belonging, and that moment when everything clicks—whether landing a trick or nailing a note.
This collaboration between Klein OperaKoor, Utrechtse Oratorium Vereniging and Utrecht's skate community exemplifies what Noble Goods Co. stands for: Pushing Culture and Bridging the Gap —one sesh at a time.
Roll over Puccini proved that when communities step outside their comfort zones, culture thrives through collaboration, not isolation
